Advertising Policy

1. Advertising on BoatMe
BoatMe may display paid advertising within relevant sections of the app and portal — for example marine insurance, boat cleaning, detailing, servicing, Chandlery and other marine products and services relevant to boat owners.
2. Clearly labelled, never disguised
- Every paid advertisement is clearly identifiable as an advertisement (labelled "Advertisement", "Sponsored" or similar).
- Advertising will never be presented as editorial content, a recommendation, or an ordinary directory listing.
- Paid placement does not imply endorsement. BoatMe does not promote, endorse or guarantee any advertiser, their products or their services, and makes no representation about their quality, qualifications, licensing or insurance.
3. Advertising does not affect directory listings
Paying for advertising does not improve, prioritise or guarantee a position in the shared contractor or third-party directories, and free directory listings are not affected by whether a party advertises.
4. No personal-data targeting
We do not target ads using your personal information. Advertising on BoatMe is contextual (topic and section based) only. We do not build user profiles for advertisers, do not share your data with advertisers, and do not allow advertisers to track you. Our no-selling, no-sharing commitments in the
Privacy Policy apply fully to advertising.
5. What we will not accept
- We may decline or remove any advertisement at our discretion.
- We will not accept advertising for: illegal products or services; gambling; adult content; drugs; weapons; or misleading, deceptive or bait advertising.
- Advertisers must hold the licences their industry requires (for example, any financial services or insurance advertising must comply with applicable financial services law).
6. Advertiser responsibilities
- Advertisers are solely responsible for the truth, accuracy and legal compliance of their advertisement content, and for any claim, product or service advertised.
- Any dealing between a user and an advertiser is entirely between them. BoatMe is not a party and accepts no liability — see section 6 of our Terms & Conditions.
